Individual instrumental lessons
For primary schools in Bath and surrounding areas wishing to further extend their musical curriculum by offering KS1 and KS2 pupils individual or small group instrumental lessons, Make Music offers a choice of flute, guitar, keyboard, piano or ukulele lesson provision.
Our approach to instrumental learning is a holistic one, with all key musical skills being incorporated into lessons. Children not only learn to read music, they also learn how to improvise, compose melodies and play from memory. We also introduce pupils to a wide range of music genres, from film and pop to jazz, folk and classical.
Make Music’s individual lessons are typically provided as a programme of 10 lessons over 2 terms, either as 20- or 30-minute one-to-one or paired lessons or small group lessons (of up to 3 pupils). We are also more than happy to provide our advice and help with buying or renting instruments.
Pupils having primary school instrumental lessons with Make Music who wish to take music exams in their chosen instrument can certainly do so as well. We’re more than happy to enter pupils for Trinity College music examinations. We also actively encourage all pupils to perform in events and concerts.
Our teachers are qualified, highly experienced, enhanced DBS checked and insured.
