Make Music is led by me, Jeni Reid. I’ve been teaching music in primary and secondary schools throughout Bath and the South West of England for more than 25 years. I’ve been a music teacher, music tutor and a head of music. To quote a musician or two,‘music is my life’.

And my lifelong passion for music and hands-on teaching experience is backed by strong academic learning too. I have a Masters Degree in Music from the Edinburgh University, a PGCE in Secondary Music from the Bath Spa University and am a Licentiate of the Trinity College of Music.

Now a professional music educator with Make Music, I work in partnership with primary school heads and teachers, in Bath and surrounding areas of North East Somerset and Wiltshire, to provide a range of flexible music teaching services for KS1 and KS2 pupils.

I’m passionate about enabling young learners to access a broad curriculum of music in their primary schools, in either one-to-one, small group or whole class settings.  It might be world music or jazz, classical or popular.  I’m accomplished in keyboard, ukulele, flute and recorder.  And a bit of karaoke too…

The beautiful city of Bath is now my home, where I live with my husband Tom, daughter Erin and cat Lily. And I’m also lucky enough to have the most glorious view of Solsbury Hill.  How apt that it has a great piece of music to go with it 😉
